Yes. 1Chess Clock works entirely offline. No internet connection is needed to set up or run a game.

Do I need an account?

No. The app does not require any account, login, or registration.

What is Fischer increment?

Fischer increment adds a fixed number of seconds to a player's clock after each move. This prevents time pressure from becoming purely about speed.

What is Bronstein delay?

Bronstein delay gives each player a fixed amount of time before their clock starts counting down on each move. Unlike Fischer, unused delay time is not added to the clock.

Which time controls are available?

The app includes common presets for bullet, blitz, rapid, and classical time controls. You can also create custom time controls with or without increment.

Is the app available on iPhone?

1Chess Clock is currently available on Android only. There is no public iOS release at this time.

Does the app show ads during an active clock?
