1chess.online has one public chat room shared by players from every country. Keep it a place where anyone enjoys a game.
Be respectful
No insults, harassment, threats, or hate based on who someone is.
Keep it clean
No sexual content and no slurs, in any language.
No links or contact details
Don't post links, phone numbers, emails or messenger handles — for everyone's safety.
No spam or ads
Don't flood the chat, repeat messages or advertise.
Play fair
No engines or outside help in games against people. Don't abort or abandon games on purpose.
Public chat is 16+
Younger players can still play bots, puzzles, friends and Quick Pair.
How rules are enforced
- Messages are checked automatically. Messages that break the rules are not sent, and mild swearing is masked.
- Reports from players can hide a message. Its author is told.
- Repeated problems mute chat for 15 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day, up to 7 days. Automatic restrictions always expire.
- Aborting or abandoning many games pauses Quick Pair for a while.
- Only the site owner can apply permanent restrictions.
Appeals
Automatic restrictions expire on their own. For a restriction applied by the owner, use the contact page and include the reference code shown in the notice. /en/contact
